New Escapes: Spring 2023

“To move, to breathe, to fly, to float,
To roam the roads of lands remote,
To travel is to live.”

– Hans Christian Andersen

Like an eclectic trove of treasures collected on far-flung travels, the colour palette comes alive with spicy, sunny tones, while crafted elements add charm.

Mark Rothko c.1950

Sunset, Andy Warhol, 1972

Seeking inspiration, shaking off conventions, searching out new horizons: a desire for voyage and adventure drives this season’s muse. Looser silhouettes evoke this freewheeling spirit, with maxed-out hems, voluminous tiers and flared sleeves encouraging onward movement and exploration.

Linen – a signature Three Graces fabric – takes a less structured approach, with billowing jumpsuits, dresses, wide-cut trousers and kaftan tops designed to catch the breeze. Ladder stripe viscose lends the Rhian, Selma, Isa and Jenny dresses a light and airy feel with its fluid, textured weave. Perfect for sultry climes, washed crepe cotton brings instant ease to casual, gossamer-light gowns finished with woven braids and tassels.

Broderie Anglaise pieces made for balmy escapes look fresh and pure in optic white – and feature a lotus flower motif. Found in tropical Asia, the lotus flower symbolises spiritual enlightenment and rebirth: heightening the bohemian mood of the designs it adorns.

These are clothes that reflect a feeling of beauty without being overblown.
A sense of purity without being chaste.
Simplicity without seeming stark.
Timeless designs expressed through modern handwriting, and made for following the sun.

Warmth radiates from vibrant yellow; sea green sings with vitality and optimism; grape looks opulent and exotic. Artisanal woven leather necklaces elevate dresses and introduce an ethnic feel.

At its core, the collection presents a joyous celebration of the feminine. With Hellenic draping fit for a goddess, floral prints, French lace trims and romantic tiers, a series of eternally elegant looks give women the confidence to channel their sensuality.
